Titanosauria

Bonaparte and Coria 1993

Titanosauria est un groupe de dinosaures sauropodes qui inclut quelques-unes des créatures les plus lourdes ayant jamais marché sur Terre, comme Argentinosaurus et Paralititan, pesant peut-être jusqu'à 90 tonnes[réf. nécessaire]. En conséquence, ils furent dénommés titanosaures en l'honneur des Titans de la mythologie grecque. Avec les brachiosauridés, ils forment le clade le plus large des titanosauriformes.
