Ornithostoma

Seeley 1871

Ornithostoma est un genre fossile de ptérosaure ptérodactyloïde ayant vécu durant le Crétacé inférieur en Europe, il y a environ 110 millions d’années. Ornithostoma a autrefois été considéré comme un synonyme plus ancien du ptéranodontidé Pteranodon en raison de son anatomie édentée et de son nom attribué antérieurement. Selon Paleobiology Database en 2025, ce genre est resté monotypique, et la seule espèce est Ornithostoma sedgwicki.
