Pteranodontidae

(Marsh 1876)

Les Pteranodontidae forment une famille fossile de grands ptérosaures ptérodactyloïdes ayant vécu au Crétacé supérieur entre autres en Amérique du Nord et en Afrique du Nord. Ils sont caractérisés par une crête distincte et allongée faisant saillie à l'arrière de la tête.
