Étymologie Aux bras d'oiseau

Ornithocheirus est un genre fossile de ptérosaures, connu à partir de fragments de fossiles découverts dans des sédiments d'âge Crétacé, du Barrémien au Cénomanien, soit il y a environ entre 125,77 et 93,9 millions d'années, mentionnés en Europe, en Russie, en Amérique du Sud et en République démocratique du Congo.
